Welcome to OSAEC

(Online Sexual Exploitation of Children)

Awareness Campaign Event featuring “My Child”

HOW DOES VENRICH HOLDINGS PDO HELP RAISE AWARENESS OF OSAEC?

Our awareness campaign event showcases the film "My Child," which aims to educate the public about online sexual child abuse and shed light on the damaging effects of psychological issues and deteriorating family values, especially on children. Based on real-life events in the Philippines, the movie features well-known actors from the indie film industry, runs for 1 hour and 7 minutes, and carries a PG rating from the MTRCB. It is presented in Tagalog with English subtitles.

Following the screening, a Licensed Psychologist or Social Worker will provide insights into the impact of abuse on victims' lives and offer ways for everyday individuals to contribute to combating this crime. This will be followed by a Q&A session. The total duration of the event is approximately 2 hours.

Why Psychoeducation Following the Movie Is Essential?

Psychoeducation after the movie is essential for raising awareness of online sexual abuse  of children because it provides attendees with a deeper understanding of the psychological impacts of such abuse on children. By learning about the emotional and mental toll that online sexual exploitation can have on victims, viewers are better equipped to recognize signs of abuse and intervene effectively. Additionally, psychoeducation helps to dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding child sexual abuse, empowering individuals to take action and support victims in their recovery journey. Overall, integrating psychoeducation into awareness efforts enhances the effectiveness of the campaign by fostering empathy, knowledge, and proactive engagement in addressing this critical issue.
