Venrich Holdings OPC (VHO) was established in April 2023, serving as the overarching entity for several small businesses owned and managed by its founder, Venus G. Abangan. Venus, an Industrial Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Illinois in Chicago, USA hails from Cebu City, Philippines. Having spent approximately three decades in the United States, she held various roles in Supply Chain Management for prominent corporations before returning to the Philippines in 2016 to pursue entrepreneurship.

Driven by a deep-seated commitment to address social issues within her community, Venus envisions leveraging entertainment, specifically through film screenings, as a means to raise awareness. Recognizing the compelling nature of movies to convey powerful messages, she has chosen to focus VHO's corporate social responsibility efforts on shedding light on critical social issues. Her first endeavor centers on Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), a pressing concern affecting millions of children in the Philippines.

Motivated by personal experiences close to her heart, Venus produced the featured film "My Child," inspired by real-life events unfolding in the Philippines. Rated PG by MTRCB, the film aims to ignite awareness about OSAEC and highlight the detrimental effects of psychological trauma and the erosion of familial values, particularly on children. Through compelling storytelling, Venus seeks to catalyze collaborative action among community stakeholders, including local government units, academic institutions, religious organizations, and private sectors.

Accompanying the film screening is a 45-minute psychoeducation session led by licensed psychologist or social worker, followed by a Q&A segment. Beneficiaries of these initiatives include Rancho ni Cristo shelter for OSAEC victims in Cebu and Lost Coin Foundation shelter in Mexico, Pampanga.

VHO's advocacy revolves around grassroots-level engagement, aiming to amplify awareness of pressing social issues. Venus harbors aspirations to produce additional films addressing diverse topics such as substance abuse, gambling, teenage pregnancy, and anti-bullying, further cementing her commitment to effecting positive change through impactful storytelling.
